A WORD ABOUT LOSING STREAKS (Written when we were losing) Yes, we have lost some games. Now, I don't know what will happen the next game or the game after that. But I do know there are two ways our team can approach this situation...
One is to be bitter and say we stink. There is no hope for our team. Why try? With this attitude, I can assure you we WILL lose and not have fun.
On the other hand, one can say, "I will try harder. I will continue to do my best and be at as many practices and games as I can." This is called character. If we learn from our mistakes and never give up, sooner or later good things will happen.
Thomas Edison, the inventor of the light bulb and many other things, said it best: Many of life's failures are people who did not realize how close they were to success when they gave up.
Never give up and try your best. This is all we ask! |
